The Future of IN-CORE

Non-profit Project IN-CORE offers support

The goals for Project IN-CORE are to expand its networks of community partnerships and supports, expand their network of developers/contributors to the platform, and expand the networks of IN-CORE users in communities and in scientific research. Currently, IN-CORE is collaborating with the Geos Institute to support communities in the U.S. that have been designated as the most at-risk and in-need of resilience support. Read more about IN-CORE’s involvement with these communities in the following article.

“IN-CORE.org is where [your] donations, charitable gifts, and foundation support can go out in the form of support for under-served communities,” Jamie Kruse, co-director of Project IN-CORE, said. Given the focus on equity in the IN-CORE platform, equity in access to resilience planning is important to Project IN-CORE.

Communities that are under-resourced and under-served are the most at-risk in the event of a disaster. By donating via IN-CORE.org, funds can directly benefit these communities by providing the services and supports that can help mitigate the damages and risks of natural hazards.
